Battery Park/White Point Gardens

The Battery, which includes a park known as White Point Gardens, is a landmark promenade in Charleston. Stretching along the shores of the Charleston peninsula and bordered by the Ashley and Cooper Rivers. Fort Sumter is visible from the Cooper River side and the point, as is Castle Pinckney, the World War II aircraft carrier USS Yorktown, Fort Moultrie, and Sullivan's Island.

Saltwater fishing and crabbing, spray play fountain area, miles of paved trails for walking, biking and skating, picnic area with grills, dog park, campgrounds, vacation cottages, sand volleyball court, horseshoe pits, annual events and concerts. This park is a nature-oriented, 943-acre park designed for family and group use. The park is built in a tropical setting, with bicycle paths, boardwalks, and picnic sites with grills located throughout the park for your enjoyment. The park also offers a variety of recreational opportunities, including crabbing and fishing from floating docks along tidal creeks and lagoons and pedal boating. Splash Island Waterpark is open seasonally. Snack bar open year-round. Gate admission: $1 per person.

Mullet Hall Equestrian Center at Johns Island County Park

Mullet Hall Equestrian Center at Johns Island County Park is tucked within 738-acres and serves as host site for competitive horse shows, festivals, events, exhibitions, and trail riding.  The site also boasts approximately 20 miles of trails winding through southern pines and moss draped oaks, alongside open meadows and farm fields. Mullet Hall does not offer riding lessons, rentals, or boarding.

North Charleston Wannamaker County Park

This is a nature-oriented park designed for family and group use. It offers over 1,015 acres of beautiful woodlands and wetlands, and provides guests with a variety of activities. Miles of paved trails allow for exploration of the area’s beautiful natural resources. Picnic sites with grills are located throughout the park for your enjoyment. Park also has two playgrounds, a 20-foot play hill, open meadows, paved trails, meeting facilities, and Park Center, with snack bar, bicycle/pedal boat rentals. Whirlin’ Waters Waterpark open seasonally. Gate admission: $1 per person.

Old Santee Canal Park

Directions: Old Santee Canal Park is located at the end of Stony Landing Road in Moncks Corner, S.C. Stony Landing Road intersects U.S. Highway 52 Bypass (Rembert C. Dennis Boulevard) at the traffic light. 
It is a 195 acre park located on the first true canal in America. The park's boardwalks and trails wander through Biggin Creek leading to the last one mile section of the old canal. Visitors can canoe or hike through the park and see an abundance of nature. The Stony Landing House and Berkeley Museum are also located in the park. 

Plymouth Park

Riverfront Park

Visitors will enjoy 10 acres of paved paths, fishing pier, an oversized sandbox, and children’s play fountain. Home of the Greater Charleston Naval Base Memorial and is centered in an expanding arts community and the largest urban redevelopment project ever undertaken in the United States. Open daily. Free parking and admission.

This park is an eight-acre linear park and pier along the Charleston Harbor entry. The park masterfully combines spectacular fountains, spacious lawns, intimate garden "rooms," walking and jogging path and a long pier with picnic tables and wooden swings.

West Ashley Park Fields

West Ashley Park was Built in 2001. It is used for many special events and many athletic programs. Four lighted soccer fields, three Dixie Youth baseball fields, one youth softball field, picnic areas, including one that is covered, two concession stands with restrooms attached, a tot lot, two docks, and an island with a nature trail are some of the other highlights this park features. Open from 8 am – dusk, unless there is a scheduled athletic event.
