Kazoo for the kids
When/Where: Shows are at 7:30 p.m. on Mondays at the Hilton Head Comedy Club. Doors open at 7 p.m.
Info: The Kazoobie Kazoo Show with Rick Hubbard gets the entire family involved. Along with his computerized music tracks, Hubbard plays guitar, banjo, steel drum, slide whistle, and best of all, kazoo. For the grand finale of the show, everyone in the audience receives a free kazoo. The newly formed kazoo band performs a marching, kazooing final song.

Summer Jams Party In The Park

Info: 103.1 The Drive’s Jeff Taylor hosts an evening of family fun with the fireworks’ display over Shelter Cove in the background. Food will be available; proceeds benefit the Island Recreation Center scholarship fund.

Picnic & Pops

Info: The Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra is offering Picnic & Pops concerts. Bring your own chairs and blankets and a family picnic (or buy food and drink on-site). The concerts include:
- July 7: “Broadway Tonight,” featuring your favorite hits from Broadway performed by the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Conductor Manny Alvarez.
- July 14: None of the Above, a bluegrass-based acoustic music band.
- July 21: Pantasia Steel Band, playing Latin music. Get in the swing with island favorites, beach tunes, calypso, pop and reggae.
- July 28: Lavon C. Stevens will perform gospel, soul and jazz.

The Sandbox's Christmas in July Party
When/Where: 4 to 7 p.m. July 18 at The Sandbox, An Interactive Children's Museum
Info: Festivities include indoor and outdoor games, scavenger hunts, arts and crafts, holiday cookie decorating, an off-season visit from Santa and playing in the snow. A hot dog dinner is included in the admission fee.
Cost: $12 for adults and $10 for children (kids under 2 are free).
