Blueprint for Victory

A special event called “Blueprint for Victory: Who I Am in Christ and Who He Is In Me” will be held from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. on Sept. 17 at the Church of the Cross Worship Center on Buckwalter Parkway in Bluffton.

The event will feature a luncheon and various speakers, including Stephanie Dowling, Melissa Jones and Jeanne Lyles.

Dowling is the founder of Least Likely Ministry, a speaking and writing ministry which inspires women to seek God with all their hearts, mind and bodies. She is a gifted teacher of the Word and uses this gift as a precept leader. Dowling also has a strong passion for sharing her faith with young people.

She has served her local church in various positions: youth leader, Women of the Word director, special events director and women’s ministry director. She has also served many local ministries and has been on the Romanian mission team to Draganesti, Romania, as the speaker for women’s conferences.

Jones is originally from Raleigh, N.C., but has lived in Bluffton for 12 years with her husband, Kevin, and two children, Hunter, 12, and Ragan, 9. She had always believed in God but had never understood the good news of faith in Jesus until her mid-30s.

She now wants to share what she has learned with others in hopes they will find similar hope and joy. Jones has been the teaching director of Community Bible Study’s Bluffton’s daytime class.

Lyles lives in Mt. Pleasant with her husband and two sons, and is a member of St. Michael’s church in Charleston.

She has been active in Alpha, Cursillo, Healing Ministry, Children’s Worship and Sunday School Ministries and has led a women’s Bible study for the past nine years. Lyles recently wrote a book called “Spiritual Vision, Father Bob’s Glasses,” explaining the sacraments of baptism and the Eucharist to children of all ages. She has also written a curriculum as a companion to the book that St. Michael’s church has been using in its worship time.

Tickets are $25 for the day and include lunch. Scholarships are available.
